Welcome! 

I'm Francie Fruitman.  

I have been a professional make-up artist more than 1/2 my life!  Lots of education and some pretty incredible experiences, it's been quite a journey so far!

Thank you for being here. 

I focus on creating good skin, symmetry, and bringing out the best in your unique features,

And though of course we could do some pretty dramatic things where you wouldn't recognize yourself in the mirror, the most common request I hear is to "look like myself-- but better!". 

Using high quality products & tools, I custom blend my goodies to get the perfect match for clients of

all ages & skin tones.

After earning my BFA in Theatre Design & Production with a concentration in Make-Up & Wig Design from the  College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati

I continued my education in Orlando, FL at the Joe Blasco Make-Up Center East where I further studied the subtleties of beauty & character, as well as special FX, animatronics, and creature construction, earning certificates in both Make-Up Artistry and Advanced Prosthetics & Design.

I called Los Angeles home for 11+ years, working exclusively in the entertainment industry on 100+ productions among an eclectic list of celebrity clientele.  Since my return to my native Detroit, I have kept busy in the local film industry, been part of the Michigan Opera Theatre make-up/wig crew, was Make-Up Designer/Supervisor for Detroit Fashion Week, conduct workshops through The Library Network, been a

guest lecturer for universities & large groups, taught in high schools & colleges across the country, donated my time to fundraisers and charitable organizations*.  And while doing all these other things, there have been countless

weddings, mitzvahs, photoshoots, & events of ALL kinds. 

It is such an honor to do my part for my clients' special life moments & times of celebration.
